We are now recruiting for the survey stage of this study, which is open to both students and staff who study or work in STEMM programmes within UK universities.
The STEMM Bullying and Harassment Intervention Project’s research team are looking for students who experienced and/or witnessed bullying and harassment during their course of their studies. This includes bullying and harassment against students experienced and/or witnessed during work or clinical placements.
It includes bullying from both other students and/or staff.
What bullying and harassment means is up to you, but can include (and is certainly not limited to!):
- cyberbullying (e.g., nasty messages, sharing of private information/photos), verbal bullying (e.g., targets of jokes, sexist comments), physical bullying, bullying involving property (e.g., stealing)
- sexual harassment (e.g., groping, unwanted sexual remarks etc)
- bullying and harassment based on gender, sexuality, disability, religion, race/ethnicity, nationality
- isolation or exclusion from a group, discrimination
- put downs / insults
The research is looking to recruit students from a wide variety of backgrounds, identities and STEMM programmes.
You will be paid an inconvenience allowance of a £25 voucher to participate in the study.
